Audrey Cottrell Switzer (1923-2014), avid Cottrell genealogist, was a granddaughter of Benjamin Franklin Cottrell; her father was Asa. She was thus a cousin of my grandfather, Major. She lived on a horse farm outside Nicholasville, Kentucky. If you peruse the online genealogy message boards, you may have run into her.
