Welcome to the Greek Pages!

This site consists of three parts.  The Unicode part is devoted to facilitating the use of Unicode polytonic Greek on the web, with an explanation of Unicode, fonts for download, and JavaScript utilities.  (The font page is being updated; be sure to check back again.)  The second part consists of readings from the ancient Greek astronomer Aristarchus and his younger contemporary, Archimedes, as an exercise both in reading Greek and displaying it on the web.  The last part is a brief introduction to the ancient Greek language, for those who would like to “get their feet wet” in it.  Links for further study are provided.  Have fun!
